The mass for the faithful departed Priests,Religious sisters was held on 6/11/2017 at St Augustine Bahati Parish. After the mass there was a procession to the Diocesan Cemetery which is in the church compound and also to LSOSF Cemetery.in this mass the Rt.Rev Maurice Muhatia -Bishop of Nakuru remembered to pray for the Late Bishop Korir who was once a priest in the Diocese of Nakuru.
In his homily the bishop said”God created us in his likeness so that we may be like him but due to sin we failed ;even in sin he saved us and cleanse us with the precious blood of Christ. We were redeemed by the death of Christ on the cross’.He continued to say that If a Christian dies it is not the end of their relationship the living are called to pray for them so that their souls may be cleansed and be redeemed from purgatory to heaven.
The bishop reminded the Christians to live a holy life and desire to die in a state of grace. he said ‘May the priests Religious sisters and Bishop Korir who we are praying for today be cleansed ‘.
The Bishop also told the Christians that all people have a limit for their life and that God knows the right time for each one to die. He therefore encouraged all present to live a life pleasing to God.
