The priests,sisters and Brothers celebrated the Diocesan religious day at the Cathedral church of Christ the King today.The main celebrant was Rt Rev Maurice Muhatia assisted by the Vicar General,Episcopal Vicar and the priests.
in his homily the bishop encouraged the young members of the congregations to respect the old members and the old to be patient with the young.The Bishop also told the religious present to respect and treasure community life by avoiding use of phones at table or during recreation.He said this would strengthen sharing in community and availability for each other.”let us listen to the voice of the Lord through our communities”he said.
“we are called as companions in evangelisation, we are called to reflect on the value and treasure of our vocation”.The Bishop said this while remembering all the missionaries who helped in the establishment of Nakuru Diocese especially the St Patrick’s and mill hill.in conclusion he said “The lord is moving the mission let us trust in him.
The religious also gave perishable food that was given to the orphans and street children
