How this department serves

Education institutions

Present pre-primary, primary, secondary, private Catholic schools, college pathways, learner formation, chaplaincy support, and institutional identity in a structured public directory.

Catholic identity and governance

Support institutions to reflect Catholic values through visible identity, ethical leadership, prayer life, pastoral accompaniment, governance records, and re-branding where needed.

Health and wellness institutions

Make Catholic health facilities, community health programmes, medical outreaches, referrals, maternal and child health support, and wellness work easier to find.

Social service and vocational institutions

Showcase Small Homes, vocational institutions, social welfare spaces, and service institutions while keeping vulnerable-person details and internal records private.

Institutional directory and mapping

Prepare a verified, searchable institution directory with categories, locations, contacts, maps, leadership visibility, and safe public summaries.

Strategic priorities

  • Increase Catholic identity and traditions across institutions.
  • Re-brand institutions to reflect their Catholic character.
  • Support Religious Education Advisor coverage in the two counties.
  • Advance the plan to establish a functional college pathway in Baringo County.
  • Make institutional services discoverable through a clean directory without exposing sensitive records.

Impact

  • Families can locate Catholic education, healthcare, and social service institutions more easily.
  • Institutions gain clearer identity, governance visibility, and pastoral alignment.
  • Education and health work remains connected to the Diocese's mission rather than appearing as isolated services.
  • The diocesan directory becomes the trusted public index for diocesan institutions.
